I just wanted to mess around on Photoshop and try new things. I like the idea of producing GIFs and its pretty fun. Just wanted to share what i made on my spare time. :) Im still not sure what i should work towards on this next project, so definitely have some brainstorming to do.  Suggestions are appreciated. 

Reading Response #8: 116-134

Video projects have made their mark in arts history. Of course, it was not always that way. There was a point, in which art had its dedicated area. People never necessarily crossed area in a sense, that they thought that each piece was different, meaning that it was going to stay like that forever. Until many artists began to use other components in order to tell a narrative. People like Peter Campus used their innovation, to create video art pieces, which had never been done before. The idea of creating art, through video, was unheard of. They wanted to combine different elements, in order for them to explore psychological aspects of perception, thought various angles and viewpoints. The way they produced, was so different to anything made prior, and to the point, there were changing artist viewpoints. Reading Response #7: Pg 104-115

The reading this week showed me about the conceptualism and self-exploration is the key talking point. The making of self- exploration was actually really creepy to me based on how far an artist would go in order to sell the narrative.   Chris Burden’s pieces are a great example of what I am talking about, when it comes to how shocking and how far he was willing to push the envelope. Shoot is one of those films, where I really don’t want to see a man shoot a bullet into his own arm, but that is what Burden wanted to do. Become a shock factor to the audience, which in turn, would get a conversation started. His other piece Through the Night Softly, is even harder to watch, since it involves glass. and him shirtless on a floor. I don’t know, but that doesn’t sound like a good time.
