We are at a time where the technology is becoming more and more advanced than anything we’ve seen before.   Where the people have the ability to make and create so much from a technological standpoint. And its important to address that artists today have had to shift from creating traditional real-life pieces, to a more digital emphasized. In today’s day in age, it is very easy and more accessible for an artist to gain a following, whether it be on a mainstream platform like Instagram and Facebook, to a more personal application like an actual website that is a more professional gallery for artist to showcase their arts. In this week’s reading, we gain this understanding that many political statements are tried to be made. Artists in the past and even up till today, make an effort to create pieces in which, they present their own ideology, in efforts to gain more audiences towards a viewpoint from a particular party. There have been countless pieces in which have been a part of a great movement; Some good and some bad. One of the more famous pieces in which played a big role, was Eine Faust in der Tasche Machen, in which seven countries were being showcased in the burning of the Third Reich’s book. Which to be fair, I thought was the Mein Kampf. But regardless of that, the idea of an artist making a statement based on political viewpoints, have circulated as a more controversial side, more than anything, because there will always be an opposition towards that viewpoint.
