Reading Response #8: 116-134

Video projects have made their mark in arts history. Of course, it was not always that way. There was a point, in which art had its dedicated area. People never necessarily crossed area in a sense, that they thought that each piece was different, meaning that it was going to stay like that forever. Until many artists began to use other components in order to tell a narrative. People like Peter Campus used their innovation, to create video art pieces, which had never been done before. The idea of creating art, through video, was unheard of. They wanted to combine different elements, in order for them to explore psychological aspects of perception, thought various angles and viewpoints. The way they produced, was so different to anything made prior, and to the point, there were changing artist viewpoints. In today’s age, you tend people to say conformed to the traditional ways of creating content. Today you see many social influences making the same content as everybody else, because they assume it’s the right thing to do or its what’s in when talking about trends. Physical art is key to have, but we need to explore new ways of doing things. The artist needs to create physical art to express emotions and that I what needs to change in many social platforms of today. It is not just limited to social influencers, but it needs to come from everybody. Anybody that wants to make videos, needs to get out and try new things in order for them to make an impact.
